Mediocre
I stayed one night for a meeting on St. Charles St. It was horrible! I was afraid to discuss business in my room because the walls were so thin. The was a 'grungy film' in the carpet and all the furniture was stained. Since I paid prior to going ...
The air-conditioning was not working in the room and smelled of smoke. We had requested a non-smoking room but this is what we received. Only one elevator was working so the majority of our 2 day stay involved taking 6 flights of stairs versus a...

Horrible
We blocked rooms for my brother's wedding at this hotel based on availability, location, and the apperance of the hotel's website. All I have to say is false advertising! Our room smelled like someone threw a party in it, was missing carpet,...

Parking was expensive. The shower faucet handle labeled hot to the left actually gave cold and vice versa so it was confusing. Otherwise, it was alright.
I am not likely
to return to the Clarion Collection Garden District Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.
I had a meeting at Tulane and happened to find this hotel on short notice. The price was great and the rooms are large. Parking was behind the hotel and had a guard on duty.Felt very safe.

Okay
The room was okay, although the doors got stuck everytime we used them. The bathroom door was rusty and in general, it all scared me a bit. The elevator was so slow and creaky I wanted to use the stairs, but the stairs were just as intimidating....
The air conditioner was not working in our room and it was obvious that it had not worked in a long while as it was very damp and humid when we arrived. The fan was blowing, but the air was not cold. The bathroom smelled like mildew. There must...

The website advertises luxury rooms and continental breakfast, neither were delivered. The lobby was pleasant, but the rooms were deplorable. The wallpaper in our suite was scotch-taped at the seams, shower was moldy, and the refrigerator was non- functional. The elevator panels were grafitti covered. There is valet parking at the main entrance, but no valet or busboy. While this is post-Katrina, the maintenance issues clearly extend years back. Pay a few dollars more for nicer hotels a few blocks away.
