The Brandywine Suites Hotel has been referred by our guests as Wilmington's Best Kept Secret, for the business and leisure traveler. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown, the hotel offers a country inn ambiance with a city convenience. This upscale boutique hotel is still small enough where we care about every guest. Please call about our Valentines Day packages. Parking is available across the street from the hotel at a fee of 8.00 USD per night. Bottled water available in all rooms. Hotel is 100% Non-smoking.

Wrongfully, charged card after promising not to causing great inconvenience and charges from bank. Tried to resolve issue with manager and then with owner. After my fourth inquiry on the issue it was somewhat resolved but definitely not to my satisfaction. Did not seem to phase the owner that his employees were grossly incompetent.

Excellent
My train from Clearwater, Fl arrived two hours late.Restaurant was ready to close, but they heated me some wonderful fisherman's stew and delivered it to my clean, well equipped room.
Next morning it was pouring rain and windy. Check out...

I loved everything about this beautiful European style Boutique Hotel. Its a perfect place for a quiet romantic and discreet getaway from family, children or whatever.
I loved:
*My two large room suites with totally renovated bathroom with brand new furniture. The room is unique. The bedroom had a glass slanting roof with folded drapes to avoid sunlight during the day time, but can you imagine sitting with the love of your life, sipping complementary champagne watching the moon and the star yet in a completely private environment?
* Very comfortable bed and a cozy couch
*Staff that made me feel like a little princess in love, doing everything
possible to please me
*Excellent food in Squires Pub located in the building, a family run business where they made me feel like a family, with an excellent room service.
*Oversized lobby with a cheerful atrium reminiscent of history.
Wished for:
* Valet parking, as parking was across the street even though the front desk validated my ticket for a nominal charge.
*Some lingering smell of smoking even though it was a 100 percent non-smoking facility. The staff doesn't smoke there, I guess its the former guest smoking.
Final Comment: Not a good place for smokers.
Excellent place for history lovers and couples who seek for privacy.
I highly recommend this hotel as I enjoyed my romantic journey. In my mind it's a perfect 10 and I will definitively return and stay in this hotel even if it is for a business purpose.

The hotel is fabulous after the renovations. The accommodation, the furniture and upholstery and other amenities are superb. Cordial and caring hotel staff made the stay here really memorable. The hotel is really recommendable for other tourists.

Looks like finally all the remodeling is almost over. The place looks great. They have completely remodeled 2nd floor, main floor and has new Restaurant -- Squires Pub. Great food friendly staff. Great value with all rooms are suites and no smoking facility
