37 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for business
I killed four bugs on the bed and was woken up with REALLY loud music... which turned out to be the lounge downstairs. The elevator doesn't work an there's no bathtub.
First I want to say is reviews are not always what they seem. Boutique hotels offer intimacy and "the get to know you" atmosphere. When chain hotels offer just a room and a place to take a shower.
When we arrived we were met by two bellman who assisted us with our luggage. We were checked in to one of there suites (beautiful). This suite came with a king size bed and jacuzzi (girlfriend loved it). As far as noise didn't hear any, only our neighbors coming back from the club.
We also enjoyed there happy hour with free drinks for one hour, and there bartenders were really cool. I will definitely stay and recommend this hotel to everyone I know. To the Chesterfield see you soon!
I was surprised to read the negative reviews of the Chesterfield. I stayed in a double occupancy room on the third floor and had a very quite and relaxing stay at an incredible price. The hallways are not the most beautiful, but the rooms have all the modern amenities you could ask for (Plasma tv, mini fridge, chic design, and clean bathrooms with toiletries provided). It is true that the Chesterfield is hardly a service oriented hotel, but if you are looking for a pleasant, clean room in the heart of South Beach at a great price, then I would highly recommend it.
Great for those partying in South Beach

We stayed here for a coed bachelor party and had a great time. It was close to everything and the rooms were awesome. Stereos with Ipod docs in the room and free happy hour for guests. We had to unplug the TV because it had this big bright blue...
Worst service I have ever received at a hotel. Our air conditioning in our room was broken. The hotel could do nothing for us so we decided to move hotels. We were erroneously charged by this hotel! And forget management being on site to help. ...
Planning to go back, the price was great for the location. The room we were in was just renovated and very classy and modern. Just blocks to the ocean, night clubs, great dining places. Park in one of the structures if possible 2 blocks from hotel...

I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check-in and i thought maybe i'll see if there was anyway i could check in early. The rude front desk girl said "No!", and preceeded to answer the phone as if i wasn't there. Well i was going to ...
