The Chelsea International Hostel is located in the historic Chelsea District of Manhattan. Just north of Greenwich Village and south of Midtown Manhattan, it is between 7th & 8th Avenues. The hostel was opened in 1993 with just 40 beds, they now have 350 beds, making them the biggest independent hostel in New York. They are open 24 hours. The Chelsea district has the lowest crime rate in all of Manhattan. They have a professional security staff and all the common areas are under constant video monitoring. The property is maintained around the clock by a highly motivated maintenance and maid staff. The front desk staff is comprised of people familiar with New York and the surrounding Boroughs.

I was there for 14 nights because i am a student and was working in the City and they didnt change my sheets once, the staff was rude and worst of all I found brown bed bugs crawling on me in my sleep and I have over 250 red, bleeding bites all over my body! I now have purple and blue rings all over me!
