The Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is located in downtown Victoria - only a short walk from the Inner Harbour, shops and restaurants. The rooms and suites are well equipped and clean and comfortable. The roof top restaurant is fantastic and breakfast is reasonably priced, with dinner being a little more expensive. However, the views from the rooftop restaurant are amazing from here and on a clear day you can see the peaks of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. There's a heated indoor pool and whirlpool as well as an exercise room. The staff have a good knowledge of the local area and are always friendly and helpful.

19 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
A great place to stay at. One of the finer hotels I have stayed at. Although more than what we are used to pay, this was worth it. We were placed in a 2 bedroom which was spacious of course, where we slept on really comfortable beds. The separate restaurant located at the top of the hotel was exceptional. We were provided vouchers for some meals to help some of the cost. Great food all day long.
Many locations are within a reasonable distance, if not, hire a taxi for a short ride to your destination. Many sites to see to please all kinds of people. Only down sight I can see is having to pay an arm and a leg from the mainland to get there using the ferries.

Okay
The beds were not particularly comfortable--but the rooms were still nice. Parking is free, which is a great perk--although sometimes it was hard to find a spot in the parking lot. I think most of the hotel guests arrive via ferry, without car....
