Chateau Royale Inn Motel - Page 1

After doing some search in Lake Geneva aria for possible place to stay over the weekend, I decided to call the place and get more info on the rooms. Due to the fact that I am traveling with kids I had some questions about the hygiene, amenities, smoking/non smoking papacies and to which extend was the remodeling done. Instead of answers I got rudeness. The person I was talking to said that I was asking "too many questions!!!" and that "If I don't like the room I shouldn't take it! Also he had previously told me that this is a hotel even though on line it's advertised as a motel. Every question I asked was taken as an offense. Way to go on costumer service! No worries about me stopping by anytime soon.

Before I made the reservation , I was checking for reviews from people that stayed there , I found only one that said its a good place to stay in Lake Geneva . We got the "honeymoon suite" for 130.00/night . When we got there we were unplesantly surprised by the condition of the motel , everything is so dated , the hallways walls were scratched and dirty . They advertise a remodeling of motel 3 years ago but the only thing changed in the suite were the bathroom tiles, it used to be a smoking suite and because they did not changed the carpet and the wallpaper the room was stinking of smoke . The furniture is from the 70's , laminate pink cabinets , a tape playermounted on the headboard. The list could go on and on but the point is we were very disapointed about the condition of the motel in general for the price they ask. We just wanted people to know what we experienced. This is the best hotel in Lake Geneva. My friends and I have stayed here for the last two years and have pre-booked our room for this year's stay. We are concert goers who take very seriously the condition of the hotel. The Olympic-sized pool was a wonderful retreat from the day. I asked for a spoon at 1 am and they were able to help! 5 stars!
