The Hotel is famous for authentic charm of Europe in the Midwest. Every detail of the decor and appointments work together to create an atmosphere that will make your stay an experience you will never forget. The French Chateau in Bloomington is very open and airy with much greenery and custom woodworking with detailed carvings. The Chateau opened in June of 1988 and was built on 4 acres of land. The Chateau boasts 180 beautifully appointed rooms and five floors, with custom designed tapestries, brass furnishings, and antiques.

Horrible
I would not stay at this hotel again. The hotel was dirty and needs to be updated. I should have checked their past health inspections before eating in the restaurant. Very unhappy and my comment card to the management was not followed up on.

The Chateau used to be part of the Jumer line of hotels, decorated with authentic medieval artifacts back in the 1990s, but through bankruptcy, it was bought out. The Le Radis Rouge restaurant has some great Crab stuffed Shrimp and a great wine list.
Room smelled moldy and musty. Told front desk and they came and checked and there was no change - still musty. Bathroom in dire need of cleaning. Pool cloudy and hair floating in it--sorry I used it probably a health trap. Had to stay here on...
