The hotel and staff lack attention to detail. Expect arriving into a room that is smoldering hot as A/C is turned off. If you wish to visit the pool, good luck finding the hours of operation posted. Soundproofing is nonexistent. If you happen to hav
We stayed at this hotel because there were literally no other rooms available in Charleston. I was leary of paying $300.00 a night, but this place was worth every penny! Everything was exquisite. The indoor salt water pool was a huge hit with my...
Beautiful hotel. The club level is a MUST. Beautiful spreads of food were offered nearly all day long. They had complementary wine and fruit waiting for us in our room. Beautiful hotel, especially the lobby. Rooms were nice and spacious, unlike many ...

Good
The service was excellent and the location is great. However, the rooms are not up to what one would expect for the price. Small bathrooms, beds are not the quality one would expect either. Free internet service but one is tethered to the wire. ...

We were there for a wedding which was truly flawless - no mishaps or glitches and absolutely one of the most beautifully done receptions I've ever seen. The guests were dazzled!

Best pool (it is under a really tall glass ceiling that they open up to the sky sometimes, no chlorine fumes, and not even crowded when I was there). Classy lobby and rooms. Great service. Comfortable spa. Very nice to my young daughter (they even have a small menu of spa services for kids). We could look down from our balcony and see the horse drawn carriages go by. Right in downtown, quick walk to all of the restaurants and shopping. Best hotel, best amenities, best location. I can't wait to go back.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Charleston Place hotel for a quick weekend trip. The hotel was great. The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly and the location excellent for a quick trip to Charleston. We were right by King Street, the big shopping district, as well as a short walk to the night life down on east Bay Street. The hotel food was good but we were close to a number of great lunch/dinner spots, magnolia and S.N.O.B. Finally, the Gym and Spa facilities were modern and in excellent condition.
We very much enjoyed our stay in Charleston and would definitely return to the Charleston Place Hotel.
