Chandler Inn Hotel

Smaller, European-style hotel on a dead-end, residential street in the South End neighborhood. Very quiet and secluded, despite being a block away from the Turnpike and several blocks from the activity around Copley Square. Close enough to walk to public transportation, Amtrak Back Bay station and points of interest in the city. Bar next door caters to gay/gay friendly clientele, towards which hotel is welcoming.

Had a corner room that overlooked the intersection. Lots of windows and definitely had that 'wish I was remodeled' feel. States they were remodeled this year but they are doing floor by floor. My floor (2) looked like it was from the 40's but clean and neat. Television worked, free coffee in the lobby, but the wireless internet would only work if my laptop was placed on the toilet seat. Signal was pretty weak and I didn't enjoy working from that location. Hotel location is prime, bar downstairs is completely gay, but from what I could tell very popular.

I had a great stay. The hotel had great, friendly, helpful staff and management, able to tell me everything I wanted to know about everywhere I wanted to go. They either knew the info or they obtained it for me.
