For an elegant meal, the Sunset Dining Room offers fine-dining served buffet or a la carte before floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a spectacular view. Linwood's Bar & Grill offers more casual lunch and dinner dining and a lounge with a large fireplace, four televisions and a pool table. With a ballroom, small meeting facilities and a business center outfitted with computers and high-speed Internet access, planning the perfect event at the Chaminade Santa Cruz is easy. Recreational opportunities abound at the Chaminade Santa Cruz. The Chaminade is a great choice for a quick get-a-way. The room we had was nice but needed a bit of modernization. It was still clean and well appointed.
It is an amazing piece of land and has some easy to moderate hikes just outside your door. The on-site restaurants are good to excellent and the sweeping views are breathtaking.
The beach and local shopping in Santa Cruz are 10 minutes away. We didn't partake in the spa treatments, but we wanted to.
It's also a great place for corporate meetings. I've attended several at the Chaminade and it's always been such a nice departure from the norm.
pros: beautiful views, very relaxingChaminade is the nicest hotel in the city of Santa Cruz. It's a great getaway, but be forwarned the road leading up to it is steep and remote, so there's really no entertainment options within walking distance....
