There was mildew in the bathroom, lots of dead bugs in the light fixtures, a faulty electrical outlet, an unclean room, stained upholstery on the chairs, paper thin walls, and the management and staff were both unhelpful.

If you like the old curmudgeon owner treating people with a nice warm smile, not. Manners are not the finer point to this professional management team. The room has last been remodeled since the Rat Pack last visited.

I would not recommend staying

at the Chalet Hotel. While the

location is convenient for

Centerport, NY, the rooms are

out-of-date and the management

was not considerate of our

needs.
