Celebrity Resort Brigantine Beach Resort - Page 1

I was nervous about going there. I read reviews and they were not complimentary but then I figured take it with a grain of salt.

The staff was courteous and helpful, the room was fine, the beach was great. Atlantic City was about 15 minutes away and very easy to get to. The only problem was that the elevators broke down for a couple of days and we were on the seventh floor!!!! I was informed by the staff that if I called down to the desk they would send the elevator up so we wouldn't have to take the stairs. They were very prompt about it.

I would go back there again.

Loved the beach and that was it. The resort needs to be demolished and redone. Remodeling is not going to help this place. The hallways was enough to tell me that the place is a dump. (I thought it looked like a updated crackhouse). The room: black mildew on the ceilings, plaster falling off the wall, curtains was streaded and hanging off the rod. Furniture was broken and barely standing. I didn't get to go any further, the smell was horrible. I refused to stay in that room. There was only one nice gentlemen in the place who understood and apologized and even stated himself that this place needed to be closed until completed remodeling. He took us to another bulding and asked if we would stay in this suite, not having anywhere to go but 7 hours back home we stayed. It was better than the room we had. I called RCI and they were "SORRY" but then replied you did just call on Wed to book and you used a bonus week like that would matter, non the less they offered us a reimbursement if we wanted to go home in the morning and promise to check out the next morning or, they could give us another bonus week. I have had two experiences with RCI and none of the places are kept up I would never recommend RCI to anyone. What a disappointment. You have to pay for the ammenities by the night. You have to pay $3.99 a night and one of the ammenitites you are paying for is to use the phone for local calls. Oh yes, you can have coffee if you come to the lobby to get it and it's so strong from sitting there all day.

Lets talk about the game room for the kids, the ceiling is mildewed and falling down. I will say the bathroom near the pool was the best facility they had at least it was clean. The pool was okay some of the windows were boarded up and certain areas was taped off like a police scene, mildew and rust. Oh yeah, did I mention that the kids broke out into a rash from the pool water. Great vacation great place, needless to say I will never return and and never recommend this place to anyone. Should I mention the kitchen, trash, bathroom tubs and toilet in the room or have you gotten the picture. Parking we won't even go there. The website is deceiving and so are the customer service reps who book you. Needless to say I will not be going back or recommending anyone. I am calling the New Jersey Health department. I also am calling Bluegreen and tell them what I think of them using this place as an exchange. I am embarrassed to know they are afiliated with with RCI. One last thing, the night we checked in there were others who left and refused to stay as well.

It was in extremely run down shape. There were exposed wires in the room. The TV had a crack in it. The window was so dirty that I could not look out of it. The pool could not really be called a pool. The hot tub was marked off with police tape. The exerc

1/10 is too high of a rating. As the other review states the room are so-so to poor. But worst of all the hotel is infested with mice!! We saw two in our room on the 9th floor the first night. After fighting with the hotel staff who didn't seem to care, they grudgingly upgraded us to the only other room they said was available on the first floor. The next night we saw another mouse. We argued with the manager to put us up somewhere else or to do anything about the situation and we were made to feel as though we were the ones who had something wrong with them. Luckily we booked through RCI and received a full refund, but our week vacation had been ruined.

The location and beach are beautiful, but it is obvious that Celebrity Resorts is neglecting this property. The housekeeping staff needs to be replaced and all the rooms need a makeover. Visitors are forced to park on the street with no consideration given. What a shame, as the potential is unbelievable.
