Catamaran Resort Hotel Resort - Page 1

My husband and I, along with our 2 teenagers spent a week at the Catamaran and we could not be more impressed! The staff was super friendly and always helpful. The grounds were breathtaking and there was always plenty to do and see. If I had one complaint, it would be that the resort doesn't have any laundry facilities, but that really wasn't a big deal to us as we had over packed anyway. Perfect place to stay for a family or a romantic vacation with your spouse. We will definitely return!!

I loved that the place was very very clean. I am kinda a clean freak and always take clorox wipes to a hotel to wipe down the bathroom, remote, etc. I wiped the bathroom floor and tub with wipes and they stayed white the room was that clean. Very pretty grounds and rooms.

We had a couple minor problems the first couple rooms we tried were one on ground floor in the tower and we didn't like the fact that it had a patio door (the patio doors didn't seem very secure) so we asked for a higher room and that patio door didn't shut all the way. The staff was great!! They let us change for a third time to the 5th floor (no view) but still great room and then the door shut and we felt more secure.

Another suggestion - GO to the Front Desk RIGHT away if you do not rent a car. They have a GREAT trolley that tours many many places and is dirt cheap. But it is not advertised you have to ask. Just like the city bus is really really close and easy but not advertised just ask the front desk though and they have a great sheet that tells where and when each bus leaves.

The Catamaran hotel is located on Mission Bay and across the street from the ocean. The hotel part of the beach is kept extremely clean and they provide beach chairs and tables for their guests. The grounds are tropical with many species of ducks and swan

This hotel made me feel welcome: The hotel is quiet. You are not aware you are in or close to a large city. The lush plants and flowers make you think you might be on an island somewhere in the Caribbean.

The hotel was well priced for what they had to offer. The only problems we encountered were that one of the elevators was not working which caused a major wait time to get up to our room and that there was no remote for the TV in the room.

Stay Away is right. Desperately in need of a renovation and a staff that cares, it's a good location and a terrible hotel.
