28 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I didn't meant to stay in Castelinho38 in my very first time in Rio. But because of a travel agency mistake, I ended up there. The only thing that I can say is: it was the best mistake ever, regarding my trips. The place is amazing!

The staff are so friendly, the pilates classes, the breakfast is tasty, the caipirinha (you must try it), but the best thing: the view. The views are breathtaking! Whether day or night! I came back to Peru, place where I live nowadays, so relaxed and impressed about this place. So quite, so close to Rio's nightlife. Castelinho made my trip more special that I thought.

27 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I was recently traveling in Rio, and after it was recommended by a friend who's been over there for a while, I ended up staying at the Castelinho38 and it was every bit as good as she told me.

Its just opened, but its in a great location and its a gorgeous building, I got a tram there from the center so its was easy to get to (and for those that don't know if you hang on from the sides you don't have to pay!) all the staff there were great and really helpful, with tons of advice on what to see and do in Rio. At the castle there were tons of classes and things to do, they had yoga, acupuncture, massage plus a bar and all the usual stuff.

And then there are all the bars and restaurants right on your door step in Santa Teresa. The rooms were nice and big, and clean, plus there’s lots of local artists work hanging all over, giving the place a really good vibe. I was only there for a few days and there was far to much for me to do, so I'm defiantly going to go back there next time I'm in Rio!

Castelinho38 is a really amazing guest house, I have never been in one like it! First of all it’s real castle and its location is just great. It’s in Santa Teresa, a very artistic and old neighborhood of Rio. There are lots of bars and restaurants. Also, just 10 minutes away there is Lapa, a very cool area to go out at night.

Castelinho38 has a huge terrace where you can have breakfast and where you can also work on you tan. The rooms are really well decorated and they are fresh and airy. The whole place has a very good vibe, I really felt good there. The people that work there are super nice and helpful.

If you go there I’m sure you'll have an amazing time.

I found this place by chance, but I have to say that it was the best experience ever!

It's a really beautiful guest house. It's a castle and you feel like a princess in your own little world! The people working there were really cool, they were friendly, helpful, and they really made me feel at home!

The rooms a big and fresh, it's on top of a hill so even though Rio can get really hot, we always had a nice breeze there!

I would definitely advise it to whoever is planning a holiday in Rio.

I have stayed in this guest house twice, and for me it was love at first sight!

It’s a little castle on top of a hill, the atmosphere there for me its magical! It’s in the centre of Rio, but at the same time you feel like you could be in the middle of nowhere.

There is a big terrace where they serve breakfast and you have a double view: one the city of Rio in its splendor and then a green, peaceful hill.

All the bedrooms are different, with their own personalities, there are big abstract paintings, the rooms a big and airy. The staff was all very nice and helpful and I felt at ease straight away.

In the evening the best thing was a nice caipirinha enjoying the beautiful view and the fresh breeze.

I loved it there, they’ve just opened and I wish them all the best because they gave me a wonderful experience of Rio!
