Casablanca is being turned slowly into condominium. The rooms are worn out although clean and acceptable. The lobby is large and restored nicely but the remaining rooms not sold yet as condo are not yet refurbished and probably they won't be unless they are purchased as condo. The pool is nice and large, the beach is right behind it, for the price of around $100 or so is an acceptable deal in a good location close to restaurants, supermarkets etc which is good since you have a kitchen in every room. Rooms are pretty large and functional, some ocean view but at a higher price.
We got complimentary breakfast, coffee, juice and the choice of bagel, toast OR muffin. Parking is valet at $16 as of 07/01/07, there is no parking lots around for less and streets parking is difficult more so in the weekend, so stick to the 24 hours valet and forget about saving a few bucks.
If you a demanding person then go somewhere else, but if you understand that this is oceanfront, close to amenities and that nowadays $100 or so don't go that far then Casablanca is a good choice for your money.
Now, again, if money is not an issue then go to a better hotel but I find this hotel good enough and with the money I saved I improved my restaurant expenditure.
