The Carroll Villa offers a wonderful combination of a grand, historic building with an unpretentious and creative atmosphere. Built in 1882 as a seaside escape for families, the Carroll Villa was built in the Italian villa or American bracketed villa style. The Carroll Villa is on the cover of the Cape May handbook as an architectural example of this style, which presents an imposing, sweeping porch, tall front windows, a symmetrical facade, and often a cupola, as does the Carroll Villa. The Carroll Villa is located in the heart of Cape May, the most southern resort in New Jersey, USA on historic Jackson Street, just half a block away from the beach and half a block away from the heart of the town, Washington Street Mall. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner are served on the European style front porch, garden terrace, and sky lit dining room. It is recommended by Frommers, Fodors, NY Times, and Philadelphia Inquirer. Best Brunch and Lunch New Jersey Monthly. The hotel and restaurant has also recieved the New Jerseys Governors award for being a state destination point.
