56 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
The Carmel River Inn is well known for its cottages, which I stayed in with a relative. It's close to shopping, and the ocean. What's not to like? I usually try to go in the off seasons, but still when the weather is not too rainy. I like the ability to visit the nature areas too.

It's quiet and comfortable. They are expanding so there might be construction noise through the spring.

It is a nice a cozy place. The rooms are small but very cozy great for a romantic getaway. But the hotel is very hard to see from Highway 1 and it can be dangerous to get back onto Highway 1.
