I prepaid for a larger suite at the Carlyle, only to be told they were 'overbooked'. I was sent to a noisy, small, grubby hotel across town, without even an apology from staff. The same thing happened to several colleagues. The Carlyle seems nice an

This Art Deco jewel is a suite only hotel that resembles many of it's apartment building neighbors on the outside but offers much to look at inside. The hotel features an enclosed patio/atrium for dining and retro cocktail lounge. An advantage of The Carlyle is it's great location with in Dupont Circle which makes for great access to many of the fine dining, and available shops as well as a commutable distance to many of the sights.

27 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The Carlyle Suites hotel was undergoing a major renovation to the lobby and some of the rooms that was a little bit of a pain. Other than that I really like the hotel. The rooms were bigger than normal and although we did not use the kitchen it was nice to know that we cold. We had 6 of us who each got there own room. We stayed in our room most of the time which was in the back left of the hotel. It was really great that we could keep the car in the parking lot in the back. We got to the hotel late Thursday night and there were more than enough spots. We left the car parked out back the whole time. We were close to the Metro but it was a bit of a walk. Jurys another hotel in the area was right on the circle and had a good restaurant in the lobby. We all enjoyed our stay and would come back. I recommend taking a cab over to adams morgan where there are a ton of bars and people of all ages all over. Great hotel great time would definitely stay again.
