female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The room was very big with a kitchenette, sitting area with tv and sofa, and separate bedroom area with bathroom. The bathroom was very tiny and the bed was supposed to be a queen but was a full which was kind of tight for my fiance and me. However we thought the staff was friendly, the room was so clean and comfortable and the ac worked well. I would definitely stay there again when visiting Oak Park. Also great location to walk into town for shopping and restaurants!

This was the cleanest hotel room we have EVER stayed in. It was quiet, in a nice neighborhood and convenient location. We stayed in the motor inn area of the hotel and were very pleasantly surprised.

The room was very large and clean! The hotel price was the best found for a spring break vacation in Chicago. The parking was included in the price and it was a short walk to the El to get downtown Chicago. We ended up coming back to the hotel...
We visited in September 2005 and the Carelton is in a very nice neighborhood, within easy walking distance of a great deal of shopping and dining. Their in-hotel bar, Poor Phil's, is wonderful. Being raised in a nearby suburb the el did not...

The hotel is a traditional, first class hotel. The rates are reasonable and the location in Oak Park offers easy access to downtown Chicago in a place where you can actually find a parking place.
I am very likely
to return to the Carleton of Oak Park.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
