The Caravelle Resort is located oceanfront on Myrtle Beach's spectacular "Golden Mile" within minutes of attractions, shopping and fabulous restaurants. 39 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Our cleaning lady was smoking while she was in the room and was rude when she knocked on our door at 2pm to clean the room. I told her we needed 20 mins and said she only had so much time and more rooms to do so she could leave for the day.
The door got stuck everytime you opened and closed it.
The printer in the main lobby didn't have any ink to print our airline boarding passes on.
Our microwave didn't work and a new one was brought in and left on our only counter space.
The air conditioning vent made rattling noise everytime the condenser came on.
Beds were too bouncy and small.
Laundry facilities were good. I like that it only took one cycle to dry clothes thoroughly, unlike many other hotels. It was nice to be right on the beach as well.

We booked this Hotel through Hotels.com and the room was falling apart. The door to the other room would not shut, the ceiling was sloping do to water damage and as so the bathroom. It really upset me and Caravelle said they could not do anything...
Hotel did not have enough bath towels for all the rooms. After numerous calls, finally had to go to lobby in another building to demand towels- this after 25 hours without towels! Then the next day the cleaning staff took towels AGAIN! Waited anoth

Upgraded room was very nice. Unhappy with original room-shabby carpet/hallways, room, check-in across the street, not enough parking. But staff was helpful in upgrading our room to the renovated section which was very nice-new looking.

Have stayed in both the St Clemens and the Sea Mark Towers. The St Clemens was great because it was directly on the beach, however the Sea mark which was 1 block away but the rooms were much larger and offered so much more for a larger family....

60 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
This was an off season golf trip. The hotel was under construction and some elevators were not operational, most services were shut down for the winter and the restaurant food was poor. The Martini lounge was seldom open in the evening. The staff was very nice and the rooms were fine and recently remodeled.
I am not likely
to return to the Caravelle Resort Hotel & Villas.
I would not recommend it to friends.
