Nestled in a lush tropical setting and surrounded by 28-acres of relaxation, The Carambola Beach Resort is a true Caribbean resort.Imaginatively conceived by architect William Cox under orders of Lawrence Rockefeller in 1986. The resort was inspired by the various waves of settlements that characterize the history of St. Croix. The red roofs reflect St. Croix's Danish heritage, while the French influence is found in the louvered windows. The British inspired the in suite's porches, and the use of mahogany and embuia woods is the legacy of St. Croix's Spanish settlers.
