45 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I had a business meeting at the Hotel on Monday, 4-23-07. The hotel is going through a major much needed renovation! The black furniture was badly chipped, and instead of a nice chair for the desk, there was a big black office style chair. There are no outlets, whatsoever, in bathroom or dressing area. We were on the 2nd floor, in a supposedly non-smoking room and it smelled like smoke. I was standing outside looking out at the parking lot on the covered balcony, when suddenly there was a down pour. Above me was a big hole, I got totally drenched.
We decided to get some dinner at their restaurant at around 8 pm. The restaurant closed at 9 pm. It should have been a clue; we were the only two in the restaurant. After placing our order the waitress came back and said they were out of lettuce and steak. So I ordered the same as my friend, plus a Long Island Ice Tea from the bar. Five minutes after bringing our food, the waitress apologized, said they were closing out the register and wanted to know if I was I paying cash or credit card. I gave her cash. A few minutes later she apologized again, said they were turning out the lights. We were not even done with our meal. We had already paid for the meal and my drink was still full but she said I could take it with me! It was absolutely horrible.
