Capital Hill Hotel and Suites

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days this summer. We had a basic room with a kitchenette (fridge, sink and microwave). It was nothing fancy but it was fine. I had a non smoking room but the hallway smelled like smoke - the room was fine though. The bathroom was a bit small and older but it was clean. The majority of the staff that I spoke with were friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of the parliment buildings and shopping. I think this is a good hotel for those who would like to visit Ottawa on a budget - having the kitchenette really cuts down on food expenses. Also the parking rate was a couple dollars cheaper than another downtown hotel where we stayed that week.

We went to a few places last month. We stopped by Ottawa before heading to Nova Scotia. While in Ottawa, we stayed at the Capital Hill Hotel And Suites. It was conveniently located at Parliament Hill. The hotel had a fitness center which a few of us enjoyed using in the morning. The rooms were very clean and tidy. There was even wireless internet service for us to use on our laptop. Restaurant was very nice, and food was pretty good. Overall we had a very good time, it was very close to places we wanted to go and tour. Once again, I would recommend this to anyone that visits Ottawa.
