My friends and I stayed at this hotel recently and were absolutely disgusted with how we were treated by one of the front desk clerks, Zack. He was rude, abrasive, unprofessional, uttlerly unhelpful and completely lacking in any customer service skills. I was quite surprised by his behavior, as I've stayed at this hotel several times before, and was actually happy with the service there before he was employed there. I work at the Grand Canyon and often come into Flagstaff and stay a night or two, and until recently I stayed at this hotel on those visits. After dealing with this individual, however, I will NEVER, EVER stay at this hotel again, and will actively warn anybody I know against staying there. There was no excuse for the way we were treated by this man and he should be fired for his treatment of us (and other guests, I suspect, as well). Another warning, my friends and I have repeatedly tried to contact the owner regarding our stay at this hotel and have not been able to get in touch with her. Apparently she is either not getting our messages or she doesn't care about the behavior of her front desk clerks towards guests (especially quiet, respectful guests who have done nothing wrong, and especially have done nothing to deserve this man's behavior towards us). Don't stay here unless you feel like being overcharged for a marginal room and being abused by the staff. Otherwise, STAY AWAY from this dump. There are much better quality places to stay in Flagstaff with much nicer customer-service oriented staffs. I suggest one of the hostels (which also have private rooms with lower prices, in addition to dorm beds). I and my friends also plan to report this hotel to the Better Business Bureau if we don't get into contact with the owner. Again, stay away from this hotel, it was a horrible experience.
The place is under new management as of 7-3-08. They are super friendly. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and centrally located. I would love to stay there again. The prices are reasonable.

I got everything right here. Good accommodation and skilled service. Nice place to stay. The amenities were in order and helpful staff. no regrets for choosing this one.Nice Service from the hotel staff.

On a busy holiday weekend we ended up at this place, which is right on the main road. While it may have been convenient, it was the nastiest place we've ever stayed. Besides stained towels and sheets and the unvaccumed floor, the room had bed bugs! We awoke in the middle of the night to find little red bugs crawling in the bed with us. When we crushed the bugs they left blood streaks on the sheets. Of course we left immediately. Stay clear of the Canyon Inn unless you enjoy sharing your bed with creepy crawlers.
Can't wait to visit again!

Excellent
I like the location because it's so close within walking distance for food and book stores and downtown. The owners are fabulous people and very friendly!

Not only were the room linens and blankets torn, my mother was insulted by their management the morning of our checkout. My advice is to move on to one of the many other hotel/motel choices in a quick hurry!

What a dive! Their linens consisted of ripped sheets, there was toothpaste in the sink, the room had old run down furniture, and the drapes were sagging off the rod. Overall, it felt very dirty and dingy. They advertise that they take AAA and AARP. They gave us a rate, then after we said we had a membership, they said that since their rates are so low, they wouldn't honor any advertised discounts. After seeing the filthy room, we checked out and got our $$ back.
