29 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Having a brand new structure, decor, and lights is not all it takes to make a great hotel. This hotel is newly opened and the property itself is impressive. Walking into the suite, everything is new, yet there is still dust on the dishwasher, and threads on the new linen. Attention to detail is the best way to impress travelers. After all, travelers are paying a price to stay in a hotel that is well taken care of. This bill was not worth the effort. The customer service was worth less. When making the reservation, I specifically told the person what I needed as far as bedding. Traveling with two small children, we would prefer two seperate beds even if it meant a fold out. (A new family generaly does not have a lot of money for a huge suite.) The front desk agent assured me there was a fold out in the studio suite. When arriving at the hotel, there was only a queen size bed. How is a family of four supposed to sleep on a queen size bed? When confronting the person at the front desk, who made this reservation with me, she said she didn't know. How does a person who works at this hotel not know it's product? It was ridiculous. After all that and deciding to go to a different hotel which would meet my needs, she said she would have to charge me for the stay because I did not meet the cancellation policy. If this is not the worst example of poor customer service, I don't have another story to top it. Do you? Moral of the story is looks aren't everything.
