We went to ISU homecoming and stayed here. The other couple traveling with us was class of 1940 and due to this, adjoining rooms were requested. At the time of check in, we were advised that they were sold out of adjoining rooms but we were able to have rooms across from each other.
Our room had a odor but not sufficient to make us and the other couple switch rooms. We requested room freshener but was advised housekeeping was gone but a message would be left.
The next part of the experience gets a little nasty so stop reading if you have a sensitive stomach. My husband and I in all of our years of traveling have never really had a "bad" hotel experience. The beds are a little close to the wall some one has to scoot over. I was the lucky victim. When I woke in the morning there was blood stain in the middle of the sheets. I immediately did a body check and upon realizing it was not mine could not have scourged my skin enough to feel clean again. I had never had a bio-hazard sheets in my life. The bedding had been left from the previous guest who had apparently been on their menstrual cycle. My horrified husband went to front desk to complain.
We left to the attend the football game and returning 12 hours later our bedding still had not been changed. We again complained and about 45 minutes later housekeeping came in with clean sheets and fabreeze. Once we told her the mess was left by the previous occupant and we had actually slept in someone else waste made her as green as we were.
We wrote to the company to express our concerns and received a generic we have forwarded your message to location. A week has past without further communication from them. Obviously they do not care about what happens in this location. I would rather sleep in my car than spend one night in this place.
