Was a great place to stay, had a pleasant suprise when I checked in, has reserved a suite, but got upgraded to the penthouse because they ran out of suites. The only complaint I have is that is was FREEZING in the room. It took about 5 hours to get...
We had a great stay here. We stayed in a very reasonably priced one bedroom suite. It was perfect, we had a private bedroom while the kids slept on the hideaway sofa in the living room, even had 2 tv's. The place was clean and the staff was...
If you book with Expedia here, beware! It appears this hotel overbooks on purpose, with the expectation that someone will cancel. If no one cancels, they boot someone. In my case, we booked with Expedia. I assume we got bumped because they...
This place was perfect. Rooms were immaculate, service at the front desk was friendly, helpful and efficient. Beds were comfortable, rooms large and quiet, and kitchens and bath are great! Everything worked, fitness room is well-equipped, and the ...
pros: Free laundry, morning and evening mealsWe really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We stayed in one of the newer buildings and found the rooms spacious and comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen but still took advantage of the evening...
55 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
During my recent Christmas 2006 visit to Wichita to see my family, I was amazed at the lengths to which this establishment and its employees went to see that my stay was exceptional.
Upon checking in, I was given a room that was not cleaned as yet, however they gave me another room; which again, was not clean. The Director of Sales was actually at the front desk and took it upon herself to make sure the next room was clean before I made another trip to another room. I was given an upgraded room at no additional charge for the entire 5 day stay, plus the first night for no charge.
To some travelers, this might be enough to upset or become extremely frustrated, but in the true sense of the situation, this could happen to anyone. Regardless of the upgrade, it was enlightening to see the staff go to any lengths to welcome my stay.
Even the next morning when my door would not lock and the lock had to be replaced, they called out someone at 7:00 am to fix the problem.
All of the staff, inclusive of the Director of Sales, check-in and check-out staff was absolutely there to meet any and all of my needs.
The location is such that it is central to any and all services in Wichita. Having a room where you are able to cook your own meals or just enjoy the breakfast or dinner the hotel serves is a plus when traveling.
Not having maid service on the weekend did not prove to be a problem as my needs would have been met by the weekend staff person or any other needs such as linens, I could have received beforehand.
Even though I now live in Arizona, I am a Wichita native and had never stayed at this hotel before this last Christmas trip.
I would recommend this hotel and location to anyone who wants to experience a hotel that has not forgotten that customer service is at the top of the list. Thanks to everyone there for an enjoyable stay and you must know that I would and will stay again at your establishment.
Again, hats off to all of the management and staff!

Excellent
I had read the previous reviews, some negative, and decided to go anyway. My wife and I were very impressed with the room, the parking and the layout of the individual 8-plex units. The staff is professional, courteous and friendly. We both...
It was like having an apartment! Also, within walking distance of downtown, the baseball stadium, and the riverwalk. The studio was huge with a walk in closet and seperate living...
