Horrible
The unfinished pool was nice. So was the rude desk attendant, our cold room full of bugs with a broken heater. This place is a complete waste of money. Many other places, on the ocean for less money.

I loved the attention to detail both on the grounds and in the room. The mattress could have been better. The hotel was very pleasant. The atmosphere of the entire facility always reminds you that you are on vacation.

Okay
We were assigned room 501. We were told is was one of their "rustic, original cabins" It was old and shabby. Walls were paper-thin. We could hear the couple next door talking in normal voices.
26 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I loved my trip to Cambria and this lodge! I had a King fireplace room with a pull-out couch and the room was huge compared to others I've stayed in. They had a microwave and a fridge in the room, which is nice. The full hot buffet breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, etc. However, they only gave us two breakfast tickets with our room (it was reserved for three) so we had to buy the extra at $7.50 a day.
The gardens and forest setting are beautiful all throughout the property. I sat in the butterfly garden and got to pet the resident cat for a long time! Usually it is a very quick drive into the East Village of town (there's even a path down the hill to walk there if you think you'll have the stamina to make it back up at the end of the day), but during my stay there was road construction on Burton so we had to drive around (about 5 minutes). The Lounge is nice and has live music each night; I loved the fact that there were couches in the lounge to relax on. All in all, I had a great trip!
My only complaints:
1) There wasn't a hair dryer in the room.
2) They didn't provide you with matches or a lighter for the fireplace room. You could get matches from the front desk, but since all the rooms are in outbuildings, I didn't want to trek all the way over there.
3) The room had some slightly odd details, like curtain rods hung at different heights and a baseboard that didn't go the entire length of the wall. It was very clean and nicely furnished, but odd.
