California Suites Hotel, where I stayed with my friends during our trip to San Diego was quite a surprise. Even though it was a budget hotel, the services were good. As the hotel is located right in the heart of the city, it became very convenient for us to visit all of San Diego's famous places.

I booked California Suites Hotel on the recommendation of my friend, Mark. Must say, the excellent services I got was beyond my expectations. My room was comfy and had a lovely view. The staff was caring. Its a nice hotel with a great location. I will definitely stay here on my future trips to San Diego.

During my last business trip, I stayed at this lovely California Suites Hotel. Really my experience was pleasant. Air-conditioning was perfect in the rooms, breakfast was appetizing and the services were prompt. Overall it was one of the best budget hotels that I have ever stayed in.

I took my family for a ten day trip to San Diego and every one of us enjoyed staying at California Suites Hotel. Our rooms had a fantastic view of the beautiful garden with plenty of green and flowers all around. The kids spent most of the time swimming and lazing around at the warm pool. The free breakfast buffet was marvelous. I will surely recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning an affordable vacation in San Diego!!

California Suites Hotel is very conveniently located near to all the super tourist spots of San Diego which made me pick this place for our vacation. The rooms were nice, nothing out of the world and the service was good and prompt. The delicious breakfast they provide was something nice to start the day with. All in all, a pleasant stay. You too can check this out. Its good.

The best thing about California Suites Hotel is its impeccable service. A budget hotel often lacks good service. But here the rooms were clean and comfortable, the free breakfast scrumptious and the large soothing swimming pool a real boon. I would like to stay here again.

When my four year old son, Ralph fell sick in San Diego, we really got scared. We had just arrived here and didn't know whom to call in this new place. I must say, the staff at California Suites Hotel, where we were staying did a splendid job. Though it was very late in the night, they immediately called in the doctor, arranged for the medicines and gave us all the help they could. We were touched. It's not very often that the hotel staff enquires about your sick son even in the dead of the night! I recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming here with family and kids.

This is the second time I stayed at California Suites Hotel. And I must say that the services and the hotel staff are as good as it was six months back, when I first visited here. The specialty of this hotel lies in its fast services and great maintenance. Rooms don't have that WOW factor but they are clean and well-furnished. Free breakfast is served in plenty and a swim in the large warm pool is just what you need to wash away all your lethargy. If you are on a budget vacation and looking for a good friendly hotel, then this is a fine place to stay.

I must admit that I was surprised at the prompt services and the hospitality of California Suites Hotel. They are pretty high standard considering that it is a budget hotel. Its verdant setting and lovely flowers make an instant impression as you arrive. The rooms are clean, with all the accessories you may need and the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed the huge complementary breakfast especially the hot chocolate they served. I am planning to visit San Diego this winter with my family and would definitely stay at this place. If you want to have good time at reasonable prices, then this hotel is a safe bet.

What I liked the most about California Suites Hotel is its green surroundings and the helpful staff. We landed in the middle of the night, but the hotel staff checked us in quickly. A fresh complementary breakfast buffet next morning with loads of choices and a refreshing swim in the large pool took care of all the remaining fatigue. We had booked only for the weekend. Now I wish we should have extended our stay a little more. It was an awesome weekend at San Diego and of course, at this hotel too!

Staying at California Suites Hotel was a welcoming change. My husband especially loved its peaceful and green surroundings. And my two naughty kids enjoyed swimming in the warm pool. The rooms had all the facilities including internet connection and voice mail, which took a load off me really. I was wondering how to stay in touch with my editorial desk back at work. Breakfast was generous and the staff was available 24/7. The hotel is located in a safe environment. Safety is important especially when you are tagging along two naughty kids with you. The hotel is also close to all attractions like zoo, shopping centers etc. I am definitely going to stay again in this hotel with my family. A complete value for money in case you are looking for affordable family vacations.

My stay at California Suites Hotel in San Diego was quite refreshing. I felt close to nature in its beautiful garden filled with tropical flowers and plants. Their warm large pool, well-equipped rooms and courteous staff are something you don't often come across in budget hotels. The complementary breakfast was basic but delicious. We wanted to spend a quiet, relaxing weekend and we did that. It is a good place for anyone looking for tranquility and who wants to be with nature. Next time round, we will stay here again.

California Suites hotel is a nice place to stay in San Diego. I had gone with my family. Our flight had got delayed so we arrived a little late at night. But the staff was really friendly and co-operated with us. The rooms were well furnished and squeaky clean. The Internet facility in our rooms was a complete surprise. That really eased things for me. This hotel offers a whole lot on its breakfast menu and that too for free! Our kids had a whale of a time and so did we. With lots of good restaurants nearby, we didn't have to worry about lunch and dinners. The pool was fantastic. Also the hotel is located close to the Zoo and Sea World and the beaches. Taking the kids out was easy, commuting didn't cost us much. Whenever I am in San Diego again, I would love to stay in this hotel. Overall it is a decent place to stay with your family. Besides, the rates are reasonable too.

The word "pleasant" best describes my stay at the California Suites Hotel in San Diego. I liked its serene atmosphere amidst the surrounding green and tropical flowers beds. The rooms may not be steeped in luxury but they were clean, which I need most in any hotel. The housekeeping was quite all right. I was quite impressed by the generous complementary breakfast. Another good thing is that you don't have to fork out too much on traveling to the Sea World, the Zoo, the beaches and stuff. I liked staying here and next time I visit San Diego, I guess I won't have to hunt around for a good lodging again!

I am satisfied with my stay at California Suites Hotel. I am a cleanliness fanatic. For me cleanliness matters most and everything else comes after that. And I would rate this hotel 8 on the scale of 10 for cleanliness. The rooms and bathroom were small but spic and span. They were routinely cleaned and had a fresh feeling about them. The staff was friendly and alert and quite prompt with their service. The garden was well-maintained with manicured lawns, beautiful flowers and trimmed bushes. I would definitely like to stay in this hotel again, the next time I visit San Diego. This place may not be something out of this world about but it is clean and very comfortable.

When I read the reviews I was expecting a little more than what I got.

Our room "1605" seemed freshly painted with newer carper. The rooms are small. The bathtubs are basic and the walls are thin. Based on European standards, yes it met my basic needs, was clean and safe.

As an American class hotel this could only be one or two star rated. The accomodations were spartan; but showed that they were attempting to keep them clean and proper. The walls were thin which meant much noise from the neigbors. Be prepared to wake up early and start you day.

This is a location where you get what you paid for. If you are young or on a tight budget, this hotel can work for you. The accomodations were not such that I would would select this hotel my next time to San Diego.

There is NO ELEVATOR

Frankly when I booked a room with California Suites Hotel, I was wondering whether I had done the right thing. Since the price wasn't too high, the rooms and the quality of services might be bad, I thought.

Well, one look at the lush green perfectly maintained gardens that greet you as you enter are enough to set your fears to rest. Though there were minor hiccups such as the shower head which is set a little lower on the wall (I prefer it higher). But such things you can ignore considering you are getting a room including complementary breakfast at an affordable price in San Diego. The most important thing is that the staff was friendly and amicable. Overall great value for money.

We spent almost a week at California Suites Hotel during our visit to San Diego. I had read some good reviews about it on the net but to be honest I was a little skeptical about what we would ultimately get. I must say, we are very pleased with the hospitality extended to us.

We especially looked forward to the buffet breakfast which was quite a spread with fresh fruits, muffins, cereal, espresso, hot chocolate and more. The pool was great. In fact we ended up spending more time in the pool than on the beach! I think if you are traveling on a limited budget then this hotel is a good option. I had thought San Diego to be quite expensive but this hotel offered really clean and furnished rooms, prompt services and great food at very affordable rates.
