Loved: The ocean view, the short walk to the boardwalk, proximity to stores and restaurants, having the kitchen. We ate breakfast and lunch in most days and I think it saved us a lot of money.

Hated: The parking garage (not a huge problem, we walked most places, but parking was still not fun), linens.

Some of the things in the previous posts were accurate - no linen changes, limited office hours, etc., but I personally didn't hate that about Cabana. I prefer being on my own and feeling like I have my own home away from home while I'm on vacation. Cabana Suites is not a resort hotel by any means. If you like having your own space like me, I recommend these condos, but if you want maid and laundry service, I don't. Next time I will bring my own linens, though, the ones they give you are not great.

Stayed there on Mother's day weekend with my daughter. Was called in our room to be told that Coastal Recovery had towed our vehicle by mistake. They give you a little bitty parking pass to put on your rear view mirror and if the tow guy happens to not see it in the not so lit parking garage your car gets towed. Had almost $1000.00 tow damage done to our car and Coastal Recovery and Cabana Suites refuse to pay for it. Tow guy claims that the lei we had hanging in our rear view mirror hampered him from seeing the pass until he towed it to his lot. Refused to bring the car back....probably because he knew he had already damaged it. Told us gruffly to get a taxi and come and get it. Office staff there is very sketchy. First they see it and they're on your side and then when management steps in they tell a completely different story. Beware of this place unless you want to spend a good amount of money on towing and damage to your vehicle. The tow guy didn't charge us, guess he figured if he didn't charge us we would let the damage go, and management defends the tow guy and would not even give us a percentage off of our room rate for the inconvenience. This place could be better managed if you ask me.

The Cabana felt more like a halfway house for ex-convicts rather than a vacation destination. The staff were sketchy. The front office was open only a couple hours during the day. The rest of the time, a half drunk security guard managed things. A three night stay at 431.00 got us the following:

1. No maid service (want clean towels? You gotta hit the laundry mat)

2. Ice machine requires a .25 deposit (No kidding)

3. No complimentary shampoo or soap ( Even truck stops have that)

4. Tap water smelled like fish

5. Ancient pots and pans

6. The rooms are decent looking, though not even close to being worth what you pay for
