No-frills hotel in great Tahoe location. This 2-star hotel is great if you are just looking for a place to crash for a night or two whiling skiing in Tahoe. It's cheap and close to Heavenly and S. Lake Tahoe casinos, but don't expect much more than a nice motel. One drawback is the bathroom tile floor is freezing in the winter because the wall unit heater only heats up the bedroom, not the bathroom.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Budget Inn South Lake Tahoe.
I might recommend it to friends.

Horrible
The room was only 40 degrees when we arrived, it smelled strongly of gas, and was dirty. When we asked to change rooms, the front desk person was very argumentative and would not allow us to switch rooms even though the motel was clearly empty. ...
