The hotel is located in the zone to where most of the people in Vancouver would tell you NOT TO GO. I learned that in this zone there are much people who use drugs, And it was to far away from Hyat Regency where my Congress was held, so I decided not to go even for one night there.
I have to say that I was told, while in hotel you do not risk anything but it is strongly recommended not to wander arround. That is what I can say to muy best knoledge and truth. I can not rate well it because I have not personal experience. Zivko Gencel

The neighborhood is scary. I think it is in one of the most scariest area of Vancouver. The room is nothing as in the picture. Room is small, so is the bathroom which can only fit 1 person at a time. No elevator. The building is in a bad condition w

First impression of the hotel was a pretty scary one. My friend and I arrived after the lobby was locked for the night. We walked through the homeless exhibit on Hastings Street to the door and the guy at the desk asked what we wanted in a really...

Don't stay here. The above description is horribly misleading. Though clean, this hotel is located in the seedy part of Vancouver and is not recommended for women traveling solo. For the price we could have stayed somewhere better. I don't recommend walking through this neighborhood at night. There are drug addicts, drunks and prostitutes. It's close to Chinatown (nothing spectacular) but a bit far from everything else. If you absolutely have to stay here, I recommend renting a car (onsite parking available).
I am not likely
to return to the Budget Inn Patricia Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Okay
If you like the hostel feel, you'll love this hotel. The neighborhood requires that guests either act like residents or take a taxi to your destination; walking through is not for the faint of heart. There are several missions and needle exchanges...
