22 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I went to Grand Forks this weekend for a wedding and these pictures are from the hotel that I was checked into. They gave me one room and I told them that there was no way I was staying there so this is what they gave me. I told the staff that my room was "less dangerous" than my original room. The manager told me that it was my problem because I had booked the room on my own. The doors did not lock. I had gone to the store to buy a towel, washcloth, pillow, and bedding/blanket because their linens were so nasty that there was no way I was going to use them. The place is called the Budget Inn Express in Grand Forks, ND…now, I am not fancy, and I have no problem with a little hotel but this was ridiculous. I left at 1:00 am to attempt to find another place to stay. It was homecoming weekend at UND so many places were booked. I finally found a place at 2 am and they had 1 room open. And the kicker is that this room was cheaper than the dirty room! There is no way that this hotel meets all safety and health requirements. I got charged for the hotel room and I had to buy the linens…there is no way I should have to pay for that!
the place is a dump, if we could have found a different hotel we would have left. the phone did not work.the outdoor pool was not set up. no romote for the tv in the room. loud vent in the room....stay away.
