This place takes cheap motels to new lows. At $41 / night, I didn't expect much, but you'd think you'd at least get a room that locks up properly. The bathroom window did not completely close and the lock was broken; given that it was large enough for a person to crawl through and on the ground floor, this is unacceptable security-wise.
The bedside lamp was broken and a fire hazard, the soap was broken into tiny little pieces rendering it unusable, the "bath" towels were the size of hand towels and so worn that they were nearly useless. The sheets were full of holes and the room, though labeled non-smoking, reeked of cigarette smoke. The web site advertises the rooms as facing off the busy main road, but they do not - even the ones set back in the courtyard get all the heavy truck noise beginning at 5am and also back onto an alley which large trucks use early in the morning. The swamp cooler was so loud you couldn't leave it on at night, and guests in rooms near the laundry room are in for a real treat: they do laundry until after 11pm and the machines shake and bang so much you feel like you're in a war zone.
The person on the phone tells you there are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, but there actually was one of each in my room. The fridge worked; don't know if the microwave did.
The entry cards de-magnetize easily (the desk clerk even admitted this) so be prepared to make regular trips to the office to get your card re-set.
There is a pool that is right on the edge of a very high-traffic road.
I have stayed at other motels that were as inexpensive as this one but which had proper security features, better quality linen, and were more honest about the noise levels.
