Budget Inn Covington Motel - Page 1

My husband and I just returned home from a fishing trip to the Douthat state park. We stayed at a lovely, small, clean and comfortable little motel. The service was personal from the owner, Pat. The room was just like you stepped back into the 1970's. We always enjoy staying at owner run facilities. Also, we always try to eat at hometown restaurants. This was truly a fun experience. The room was very neat and clean. The bed (King size) was most comfortable. We enjoyed the shower with the strong force of water (you normally do not find such force coming out of the shower). We had cable TV, refrigerator and coffee maker. We will for sure return to the Budget Inn located in Covington, Virginia. Not only did we enjoy our stay at the Budget Inn but we caught our limit of trout fish. Jim and Kaye Bartoo

I have been traveling to this area since last two years at least once a month on supplying and servicing medical equipments. Last time, I was turn down at Best Western and Comapre Inn hotels here. Some one suggested me to check with BUDGET INN which is only 1and 1/2 miles from these hotels. I found the motel very clean, simple, comfortable and very safe. Its High Pressured Showers are very relaxing.You don't find them now-a-days in many hotels. Rates are very good. I would say quite Low compare to the facilities and market level in Covington, VA. The owner couple is very caring, helping and friendly type. I stayed in many hotels, motels and have many experiences. This Budget Inn has been quite different. I didn't feel I was at a Motel ! It was just like at home. I can't believe I missed this Cuitie Motel since last two years. May be it is because the motel does not have much advertisement.
