We were very disappointed in our stay at Budget Host Inn. The motel has not been updated since it was built in the 1960's. The toilet had it's original guts in it and we had to work on it every time we flushed it. The walls are paper thin...

We were very disappointed in this Budget Host Inn. It was built in 1962 and has had nothing done to it since. This site says it was renovated in 2005. I think the only thing they changed were the light bulbs. The toilet had the original guts in it and we had to work on it every time we flushed it. The walls were paper thin and we heard the neighbors arrive at 4:00 am. It still had the string cloth wallpaper on the walls from who knows when. The Budget Host Inn website is very misleading and we thought we would have an updated room with continental breakfast. The room cost $66 (that's with a discount) and there was no continental breakfast. A Motel 6 room would have been better and cheaper. This place is a dive!
This place is a DIVE! There are to many doors to ulock all over the place with "Old School" key. As much as this hotel charges for its rooms they should already have upgraded to key cards? You can hear everything that goes on in the rooms...

The motel was easy to find. I have no complaints about the service or the comfort. It was like any other motel. I would recommend it to any traveler. I would have like to used the pool, but I did not have time to do so.

Excellent
The room was very clean and staff at desk are very friendly and accomodating. We will return each time we visit Fort Dodge. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
