Me and a co-worker checked into this hotel on October 2nd. The sign outside advertised a pool - whirlpool - fitness center. As we checked in, we were informed the pool, and whirlpool were closed due to lack of maintenance. I asked later about the fitness center, to which she replied, "Oh, nooo. We no have." So all of the "extras" advertised on the sign outside were either non existent, or inoperable.

Also, as we checked in she informed us that they do not offer DAILY maid service. That was fine with us because we don't like them coming in everyday anyway. Little did we know, they didn't offer ANY maid service at all. We at least expect to have maid service every 3rd or 4th day to bring fresh towels, sheets and empty the trash at the bare minimum. We had to get our own towels, empty our own trash, and sleep on the same sheets for 9 days. For the first night we stayed, we had a TV with no remote, and only got 1 channel. It took nearly a full day to get that TV replaced.

Besides the deceitful false advertising, and the lack of maid service, the windows were FILTHY, and the metal trim on them was coming off and falling apart. The wall mounted light fixtures next to the bed were hanging by their electrical wires and not mounted properly, the towels were stained and dirty, and the internet came and went in about 30 second spurts.

At the front desk during the day, she had a mentally challenged man working. I don't have a problem with employing mentally challenged people, but he was very abrasive, rude, and disrespectful. And to top it all off, there was a bum hanging out on the couch in the lobby everyday.

For all of these "accommodation's", we were charged (at discount by the way) more than the Motel 6 down the street, where the rooms are nicer and better kept, the offer maid service everyday. And if they advertise any extras, such as pools, and fitness areas, they actually have them and maintain them. There are no bums in the lobby at Motel 6. I have stayed in A LOT of hotels across the United States, and I have never been more disappointed and disgusted. The only reason we stayed the full 9 days without going to Motel 6, is because we traded her our product that we were in town to sell, for a discounted rate, and if we didn't stay the full 9 days, she threatened to charge the regular price. And we couldn't stand the thought of paying full price for a place like this. The discounted price was double what the place is actually worth.

In closing, I leave you with this final statement. If you are thinking of ending your life, and you're afraid you might lose your courage and back down....come stay at the aloha inn in Madison, Wisconsin for a night. It is guaranteed to push you over the edge.
