50 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The 'resort' sits out on open ground with very small (young) trees that can't be that old. The resort is mostly gravel and dirt - very dusty (or muddy) in the summer. It's on 12, not on the access road to the national park (as the travel post map suggests). Rooms are tiny - the place isn't very well kept. For less money, go to the Bryce Canyon Lodge. It's in the park, a couple of hundred feet from the canyon rim, and it's in the woods. You can't compare the two places. We forfeited our one night deposit at Bryce Canyon Resoirt to move to the Bryce Canyon Lodge (which turned out to be less expensive that Bryce Canyon Resport). We talked to several locals who said that they do not recommend Bryce Canyon Resort. When we got to the Bryce Canyon Lodge, they said that they have had lots of folks unhappy with Bryce Canyon Resort come up the road and stay at Bryce Canyon Lodge. I would guess that the Resort is rarely full so there's nothing to be lost by just showing up and getting a look at it for yourself to see if it's worth the price. HOwever, you will definitely want a reservation at Bryce Canyon Lodge - it fills up routinely. Hope his is helpful

37 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The floors in the bathrooms had various people's hair and had not been swept or mopped and the tub had a ring in it. The carpets had not been vacuumed and were not the entire stay. I know this is going to be hard to believe but the bed sheets were not even changed the entire three days we were there. Which begs the question were the sheets clean when we arrived? For $159 a night I do not think it is asking too much to ask for some clean sheets. The only housekeeping I saw was the beds being made and the old towels being replaced with new ones, I think? Unless the houskeeping actually starts to do their job I would not recommend staying at this resort.

I am not likely to return to the Bryce Canyon Resort.
I would not recommend it to friends.
