I read some of the reviews and I dont understand how some one can be so negative about staying in a motel for 45 dollars including breakfast. Sounds like they were forced to stay there against their will and than were forced to dish out 40 bucks or
I stayed at this hotel last week. The price, location, breakfast, and Staff were great. Who would think you could get such a deal and good service. The people are so friendly. And its an American Owned Hotel. Go Figure!!!! For only $45.00, I'll be b

This is a nice older hotel. The front desk is open all night and my room was nice and clean. It is hard to find all american hotel and nice employees. I will be back for sure. Best hotel on the exit.

Okay
I stayed at this establishment several times before moving to Charlotte and my stay was very comfortable and the prices were good. I wouldn't stay for more than one day.
They gave me the $29 rate on the coupon I presented, but the taxes and fees raised it to $36. This motel is older (the tub, which had been coated, was peeling, & tile was falling off the wall) but it was moderately clean, with microwave and frig....

They gave me the $29 rate on the coupon I presented, but the taxes and fees raised it to $36. This motel is older (the tub, which had been coated, was peeling, & tile was falling off the wall) but it was moderately clean, with microwave and frig. The wifi connection was slow. Desk help was ok, as was the continental breakfast (all carbs except milk and packets of cream cheese). Right off the interstate and fairly close to the University, they do a lot of business, but two or three other motels are at this exit.
48 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I was coming to Charlotte for a job interview and a friend recommended this hotel. It is an older hotel and as such it is a little dated. The rooms have been remodeled, and look quite nice. The paint clean up could have been better. There is a clean feeling to the room however and I wasn't afraid to walk around in my socks. While traveling my pet peeves are trash behind dressers and night stands, and dirty switch plates. I was pleasantly surprised to find them clean. Though I did not swim the pool was exceptionally clean and full of guest who took advantage of the nice weather. The breakfast was a surprise as well. There were very LARGE muffins, yogurt, a fancy pastry with different fruit, fresh fruit and the usual other food items. Not bad for a no name hotel. It is American owned , as I was told at least twice. The staff is what will bring me back. They are great fun. Very professional yet very funny. One almost gets the impression they are in competion for the guests. A refreshing hotel.
Southern hospitality at its best! If you are looking for a clean, comfortable well staffed, budget hotel then The Brookwood is the place for you. I was in town visiting newly married friends and happened upon the hotel. Kathy and Eric checked me in. ...
We booked this Hotel on-line for the Nascar 600 Race May 26th weekend. From the 4-Star Rating it got online we figured it would be really nice, an it was 8 miles from the Track. We get there, an you just can't describe it! Just to mention for 2...

Horrible
I would not stay in this hotel again if it was $40.00 a night! The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel gave promises of newly remodled rooms, but our room was old and gross. There was stuff splatered on the walls in...
