57 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
This is a wonderful Victorian hotel that is located next to the Bristol Cathedral along the waterfront. We stayed in a beautiful suite that had air conditioning. Ah relief! Something you don't always find in English hotels. Unfortunately, our bed was only a queen-size one. We prefer king but it was still very comfortable with the standard luxury Marriott bedding and we had our own private bathroom as well as high speed internet access. The room had a nice work area as well, but we were on vacation so didn't make much use of it other than to send emails home. However, we did appreciate the satellite TV and twenty-four hour room service, which we made us of a couple times in the wee hours.
It was also nice to be able to stop in their Champagne Bar for a something to drink after a long hard day of sightseeing before heading over to the Terrace Restaurant for dinner. The food featured is International cuisine and they had some lovely wines to go with it. And naturally, we enjoyed the pool, work-out area and sauna. There's no question we'd return here for a repeat performance in the future.
