Location is perfect for Fenway park, avoid the hassle of a commute! Walk to the game. Quiet, clean comfortable room. Free continental breakfast was nice, good fruit , pastry, cereal, and bread selections.

The staff was very professional and very nice and helpful. The rooms were ok. It's an old building so you shouldn't expect perfection anyway. There is dirt in the corners but the beds were clean as was the bathroom. For the walking distance to Fenway Park, you absolutely can't beat it. I would stay there again. And the continental breakfast was wonderful.
The place is old but comfortable and cheap. Location was perfect, close to everything and the rates were reasonable. I would suggest it to any budget traveler.

Location to subway, red sox, great views.Older hotel, clean but needs remodeling soon.“Hotel was modest, reasonably priced with a great location. Couldn't ask for much more if you are on a budget...
My wife, 14 year old son and I stayed at the Buckminster for two nights in August. We had a two bedroom suite, which had a great view of Kenmore Square. The furniture is a bit outdated and should be replaced, but our room was extremely clean. The
The extra touches in this hotel are what really make it stand out. The room had comfortable furnishings and a seating area for meals and work. Some views open directly onto Fenway Park across the Turnpike. Kenmore Square is a very busy student and commercial area, so there is some traffic noise (and although there wasn't a game while I was here, I imagine the crowds make some as well) but the luxurious accommodations outweigh it. Steps to public transportation all over the city.
