Classic Italian style meets modern sophistication at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City. The first new casino hotel in the East Coast entertainment capital in more than 13 years, the 43-story tower stands as both the largest hotel and the tallest building in the entire state of New Jersey. Located at Renaissance Pointe overlooking the marina, Borgata brings an all-encompassing, Las Vegas-style travel destination to Atlantic City. The 1. 1-billion seaside resort-a joint venture of Boyd Gaming and MGM Mirage-offers a broad range of activities, a brand of hospitality, and a level of service designed to please business and leisure travelers alike. Few hotels can rival the impressive scale and breadth of amenities. The 125,000-square-foot casino, for instance, holds 145 gaming tables and more than 3,600 slots. Headline acts from around the globe appear at the 1,000-seat Music Box Theater, while the 2,400-seat events center can stage anything from major events to top-flight meetings and conventions. Even the parking lot elicits awe with its space for up to 7,100 vehicles. All 2,002 guest rooms and suites offer Sealey beds, 300-thread-count custom Egyptian cotton linens, armoires with refrigerators, high-speed Web access, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city, marina, and Atlantic Ocean. Lavish bath- rooms come with oversized glass-enclosed showers, marble walls and floors, granite countertops, Egyptian cotton bath sheets, and all-natural, essence-based grooming products by Lather. The six categories of accommodation range from Classic Rooms to the twin Residence Suites, which manage to pack marble fireplaces, grand pianos, 12-seat dining rooms, 60-inch plasma-screen TVs, private exercise rooms and spas, and butlers pantries into 5,000 square feet of domed ceilings and fresco-painted walls. Borgata exceeded my expectations ten-fold. What a beautiful place, dramatic chandeliers of hand-blown glass, marble galore, fabulous artwork on display, and rich deep woods framing windows and entryways of shops and lounges.
We stayed in a 700 sq. ft. suite, complete with a marble bath the size of some NYC studio apartments. The only challenging decision of the day was whether to soak in the deep marble tub or to "refresh" in the gorgeous shower complete with a bench. By the way, the water pressure was fantastic, and so were the toiletries provided. Once out of the tub and shower, yes, I took both, I threw on a plush robe of simple white. Had the casino floors below and the restaurants not been so tempting, I could have stayed in my suite all night.
Once out of our room we hit the buffet. As a self-proclaimed food-snob, when I hear the word buffet I usually shudder ever so slightly. But I gave it a chance. The line to get in was not too long and moved quickly. The staff was efficient at moving people. Once inside my eyes were greeted with what looked like a never ending, enticing display of foods- sushi, pork 5 different ways, salmon, sirloin steaks, prime rib, Chinese style dishes, fresh vegetables and the world's most delicious mashed potatoes.
We spent the night Sunday to Monday on a holiday weekend and the crowds were not a problem ever. We always found a spot to play on the casino floor. The cocktail waitresses were friendly and quick with the drinks.

The rooms are lush and beyond comfortable. The beds are the best I have ever slept in, in any hotel, and just the atmosphere itself outside the casino area is high end, extravagant, and beautiful. I felt like I was a wealthy high roller and I did not even stay in a penthouse or other winners room!

The bars and the casino are great, bingo was free and their comedy show was excellent and so were the gaming and the gambling. The hotel is the nicest and the best in Atlantic City.

As I planned the meeting for a group of attendees, the pre-planning done with representatives from the hotel handled everything to the last detail. When arriving to my departure everything went as planned. I did not have to worry about a thing! I was kept in the loop on every aspect of the event. I felt very relaxed as I knew I was working with very capable professionals who were also extremely friendly from the bell hop to the sales representatives I worked with.

I am always treated very well. The hotel, the casino and the spa are elegant and sophisticated. It is always a pleasure to spend time there. My slot host is wonderful and meets all my needs.

My room was complimentary, the mint scented toiletries added relaxation to my bath experience. I felt secure knowing door keys were being checked by security and not just anyone could get in. The Metropolitan restaurant has Cuban sandwiches, which are my favorite and I won on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine. I always look forward to going there because it is my happy place.
