54 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for. I stayed there in June, 2006. The rooms NEED TO BE UPGRADED and new beds installed. It has an excellent location next to I-80. If you get an interior facing room, expect to be awakened at 8 a.m. with kids playing in the indoor pool. For $20.00 more per night, you can get a room facing outside, towards the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains. I ate at the Silver Screen Buffet once, and it was good, but nothing special. However, the 24-hour Sundance Cantina I found to have very good food, good-sized portions, and fair prices. The casino itself was undergoing some renovation at the time, but overall it was nice. Plenty of fun for the kids in the large arcade, and the aforementioned indoor pool. If you are on a budget, stay there Monday through Thursday, when the rooms are cheaper than Friday through Sunday. Customer service was hit or miss, depending on which employee you happened to get at the time. If they were in a bad mood, they'd take it out on you. If you lucked out you MIGHT get a nice employee, but only once in a while -- which is what happened to me. Overall, I'd give the place a 5 out of 10. Reasonable costs, an average hotel and casino, but below average overall customer service.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Boomtown Hotel and Casino.
I might recommend it to friends.

34 year old female with a shoestring budget, traveling for leisure

I had a wonderful time with my family at this hotel casino. I did not do much gambling, but I was able to spend time with my small child and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. The arcade was fun as was the rides that they have for the children. We even got to play a round of mini golf.

I am very likely to return to the Boomtown Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location is outside of the center of Reno activity but convenient shuttle service is provided. It’s a large, entertaining facility, enough for a few days stay. The staff is helpful, efficient, and friendly.

I am very likely to return to the Boomtown Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
