Had to book this hotel for three nights at the last minute and NOT satisfied. I booked a non-smoking room but somehow ended up in a smoking room. Front desk said they didn't have any non-smoking at the price I paid, so they sent someone over to 'deo

Horrible
I was very dissatisfied with the hotel room.Iwas supposed to have a spa outside of my bathroom and it was not and the tub was nasty and small.If it was not for the fact i was trying to have a good time regardless of the room i would have RAISED...

Ok! Well, this is what I have to say about this nasty hotel! It looks nothing like its pictures! It was nasty the only nice thing in this room is the bath tub. Stuff was breaking all the time. First, the stove broke. The front eye went out then the whole thing quit. Come to find out their was a electical problem and a bad breaker. That can cause fires! Then our light in the bathroom broke. The room its self was not very clean and they don't keep their pools very clean. If I was going to reccomend anything about this place was to stay in the main tower. I really think they should just knock it down and rebuild it. I would not reccomend it with kids at all! I will never stay here again and I will not tell my friends to either! Their was one nice person that worked their and his name was Sonny. When our stove broke he let us go up to floors to a empty room to cook dinner. That was very nice. He was the best thing there. That is all I have to say about this dumb!

o.k. then here is the lowdown from somebody who has been going to Myrtle for years. You will notice with these reviews two distinct schools of thought. The main tower for this resort is kept up very well and it is the only place I have stayed. I have been told some not too nice things about the other towers but I really have nothing negative to say about the main tower. All units in the main tower face the beach and you can't beat the view, it is very well maintained and clean, there are certainly no bugs that I have ever encountered and the staff has always been first rate. I have stayed at nicer places such as the Hilton but I have paid dearly for it. This place is great for either a family or for a foursome of golfers as the rooms feature 2 Queen beds, a queen sized murphy bed and a queen sized pull out couch. It is located right in the middle of everything and for the cost it is hard to do much better.
Don't stay at this hotel if you have valuable items that you cherish. Reason being, my family and I stayed there this past July 7-10, 2008. We had already had room service, but someone from housekeeping went back into our room. Luckily, nothing was taken, but we had some very valuable items in that room.
So basically, if you take valuable items with on vacation and want privacy while you're there, don't stay at the Boardwalk hotel in myrtle beach.....
