My husband along with our son stayed at the Bluewater from July 17-20 2009. First we had to put down a $100 security deposit without seeing the room. Had to sign for towels which were small, old and thin. The maid had us sign a paper when we told her she didn't need to clean the room. The room was out dated and needs work very badly. We have stayed here a few times before and the rooms were great. We won't stay here again. The pictures on the internet do not match what we ended up upon check in. The resort should set a standard that the owners have to maintain. Very disappointed.

We, I and two friends, stayed at the Bluewater Resorts July 13-15, 2007. We arrived late that Friday evening. However, I made reservations in February and paid for them in full on the same day I made them. When we arrived, they put us in a smoking room. One of my friend's is allergic to cigarette smoke, thus the request for a non-smoking room, and can have an asthma attack if she is around smoke even for a short period of time. We went back to the front desk and requested we be moved to the non-smoking room we had requested and paid for. We were told the hotel was booked to capacity and we would either have to stay in the room or leave, but they would move us first thing tomorrow morning when the guest started checking out. We called the next morning to speak to the front desk and they said they would move us as soon as possible. Just stay put and they would call us when they had a room ready. Three hours later, we had to call the front desk again. They called us back within 15 minutes and told us they were moving us to a non-smoking room three doors down from the room we were in. I went to the desk, got the keys and went to inspect the room before moving our stuff. We walked into an occupied room. They had given us keys to a room that someone was occupying. We went back down to the front desk to let them know what they had done. In the meantime, they have decoded our original room keys and now we can not get back into our room to get our stuff. It took us 30 minutes to get back into our room. Another two hours later we were finally moved into an unoccupied, non-smoking room. When we asked for compensation for the hassles we had been through, the front desk coordinator, the front desk manager and the hotel manager became rude and belligerent. They said that b/c we had booked through an online travel website, we were not guaranteed anything and that we should have been on the beach enjoying the beach. When we tried to explain that we could not enjoy the beach until we cleared up the hotel room issue, they became more belligerent and rude to us in front of all the people in the hotel lobby. It was absolutely the worst experience/vacation we have ever had. The only recommendation I would make to potential guest at this hotel is to run away from there as fast as you can and find another place to stay. They obviously do not care about their clients. This hotel has no idea what customer service is all about. The only friendly people we encountered at the hotel were the hotel housekeeping supervisor and a housekeeping person cleaning rooms on our original floor. When we asked them if they treated their employees better than their guest, we received a resounding 'NO'. We were not able to make it out onto the beach before 4:30 PM on Saturday, due to the room fiasco, and we had to be out be 11 AM on Sunday. Undoubtedly the worst service, management and vacation I have ever had!
