I've stayed at the Blue Spruce a few times over the past few years. The motel provides a large, clean room, high speed internet service, and is just "comfortable".
The folks operating it are friendly, and the rooms and grounds are well maintained--reflecting the pride of a family-owned business.

Great location, room was very clean, refrig and AC worked fine. Loved having overhead room fan seeing that it was hot and humid the first night. Quiet location, will stay ther again if possible. Hospitable owner too!

Perfect location. Its at the start of the strip where you can walk from there and cover the whole strip. Place was very clean and quiet!! Pool was great.
Was very warm (heated outdoor) and pleasant and the chemicals were done perfectly. 24hr fastrac market across the street was very convenient. The air cond. and fridge worked perfectly. Shower head pressure was awesome.
Only thing I could of used which wasnt there was a microwave.
For the price and what you get, along with how clean it is, we will definately be going there again.

I highly recommend staying at The Blue Spruce Motel. Quaint vintage style, peaceful, very friendly owners, extremely clean! We stayed in one of the efficiencies. So cute! I believe the kitchen unit is original (from the 50’s?). Excellent shower (great pressure). I only wish we could have stayed a few more days!
The only things that I was disappointed with was that the windows did not open, it was a beautiful cool night and I would have loved some fresh air & the shower head location, great if you were 4 ft tall. Other than that, a perfect stay, and we intend to stay there again.
This was a clean, decent motel, and the price was reasonable. The owner/employee was friendly and professional. The room was clean and bright, but I really can't say much for the old air conditioner in the room. I guess it did the job adequately...
The Motel itself was decent and clean. Old Forge is very nice overall. However, I found the proprietess of the Blue Spruce to be very rude. She made a scene at the pool when I had my aunt who was staying elsewhere sitting with me watching our...
My family and I recently stayed at the Blue Spruce Motel and we enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were very neat and clean. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

Excellent
We have been going to Old Forge for about 17 years now and love to stay at this motel. It is family run and the people are really nice. It is a clean and neat motel for a good price compared to others in the area. You should try it the next time...
