The Blue Shutters Inn consists of a century old New England Guest House and a Carriage House with six colonial style appointed rooms with full kitchens. We are situated on a quiet side street on the ocean side of Shore Road with the renowned Marginal Way abutting our property. We are centrally located to all of the attractions in Ogunquit and just steps to the Atlantic Ocean, trolley stop, the famous Ogunquit Playhouse, Perkins Cove and the artistic Ogunquit Village. When my husband and I go to Ogunquit we always stay at the Blue Shutters Inn. The rooms are wonderful, the breakfast is delicious and the location is right on the marginal way, we walk every where. We are minutes to the ocean and to town. I tell all ...
74 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I recently made a reservation for one night, not realizing that my sister was also in the process of making reservations. I emailed the owners within the hour. They did not respond to my three e-mails, but when we followed up with a phone call we were informed that we would be charged for the full rate. We were treated rudely in the process such that the owner hung up on us when we informed them that we are very disappointed in their lack of professionalism.

My wife recently made a reservation for one night not realizing that her sister was also in the process of making a reservation. My wife emailed them within the hour to explain the mistake. They did not respond nor did they respond to the subsequent two emails she sent. I then called the owners and was told that there would be no refund of any kind. We were horrified when in the process of a phone call the owner hung up on us when we politely told him we would be posting a review. To me it matters little how nice a facility is if the owners are not respectful to their guests or prospective guests, and we were looking forward to visiting this Inn one day.
We thought we would try a Bed and Breakfast in Maine we have stayed in some in other areas and have been very clean and quiet..But this one was very noisey and we never got clean towels or had anyone clean the bathroom and the noise outside our room ...
