I recently booked a stay for two nights at the Blue Heron Inn. Unfortunately, our plans changed at the last minute and we had to call to change our reservations to one night. We called as soon as we found out. Although the lady we talked to when we

the blue heron is a friendly place to stay with a homelike atmosphere. the rooms were very basic but clean. They had all the extras that the website talks about. we especially enjoyed the free breakfast every morning.(you do have to ask for the coupons, they don't offer them voluntarily) the restaurant food was plentiful and good. it also was very homelike and clean. we enjoyed a cruise with Daisy's Dockside Cruises. Mr Daisy was informative and kind. He is one of the original families of the island and knew the history and points of interest. He agreed to take us on the cruise knowing that there was only the two of us. we had a great vacation at chincoteague and would return to the blue heron again and again and again!

We enjoyed the hotel stay thoroughly and we will be staying there again. They are conveniently located close to the wild life refuge and their hospitality was wonderful.

The hotel has a quiet wooded area that lets me feel at peace. The hotel grounds were kept quiet and inviting. The hotel staff was always there to help with any questions we had and this made us feel safe and secure.
