Was in Arlington for leisure and was definately pleased with the hotel. After checking into hotel, I changed into trunks and went to pool/wet area to relax. I immediately noticed the sauna in the changing room. I stripped off and went in. There were 2 other guys in there. We all sat around and talked until we got better aquainted and then we had a great time. I will definately stay at the Blue Cypress from now on.

Decided to take a trip for a little get-way to the MetroPlex. I live about 200 miles West of Arlington. I booked my room online, but when I arrived I still had to answer several questions and it took a while for us to get in a room. I was asked if I wanted a room that faced 6 Flags. I said yes and the kids were all excited only to get to the room and find that we could only see that spooky looking GM plant. Which while watching the news that night we learned that a missing Ft. Worth lady was last seen in the parking lot of her job, which was at the GM plant. I was told by Robert the front desk clerk that there would be a live band playing in the night club that also serves drinks in the hotel, breakfast would be served in the morning, the pool was heated, and we were getting a newly remodeled room...ALL OF THAT WAS A LIE...I think that I counted about 4 cars on the parking lot and one of them was my own. We were spooked and scared, there were people that seemed to just be hanging out on the basket ball court and game room. I never saw anyone other than the drunk front desk clerk. The pool was FREEZING COLD and there were dirty towels everywhere. I think someone had a food fight in our room...well I hope that was food that was brown, hard, and stuck to the walls. I called to the front desk and did not get an answer. Parts of the ceiling had fallen on the floor downstairs and no one cleaned it up. I was told to bear with them they are under new management and changes are coming soon BUT POINT BLANK- THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN... ASAP!

The first room that I was given did not even have a bed in it. I was moved from that room to another one on the sixth floor where the hallway reeked of Marijuana and who knows what else. The second room was not very clean, especially the bathroom. While in the bathroom I noticed that there was no soap or shampoo but I was too tired to worry about it at the time. The next morning I got up to shower and turned the water on and let it run for at least five minutes but it never got warm. I canceled my reservation for the next two nights and requested a refund. The front desk clerk advised me that I would have to speak to the manager directly and gave me a number to call him when he would be available in several hours. The manager stated to me that he had just installed a new, $20,000 boiler and that I should have waited up to ten minutes for hot water. He also did not seem concerned with the lack of soap or shampoo in the bathroom. The manager refused to give even a partial refund stating that he "would not refund one penny". Very poor customer service in my opinion.

This Hotel states it has been totally remodeled yet when i stayed in room 507 the counter under the sink fell on my bare feet causing me injury and puncture wounds. The entire atmosphere of this Hotel is low class, dirty and should be avoided.

--Stayed here Aug 8 -15, 2007. The hotel was pretty good for the price ($49/night). We stayed for a week. The location was ok since I was in town for the UT Arlington graduation and some light shopping (The Parks Mall very close by). The only problems I had were that the 'breakfast' was scant and the hallway had an awful odor. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was surprisingly good for the price.

I wouldn't recommend it. I found a dead roach in the bathtub. They say they have a hottub, but they don't. The picture online looks like a really nice place, but in real it is old and musky smelling. The room was large and the bed was ok. They took up the free breakfast at 8:30 and turned out the lights in the eating area while I was getting juice. I thought that was rude. We did get a free shuttle to six flags but the driver never said a word to us. The Lady working at the bar was really nice. Over all it wasn't worth the money, but I'll know next time.
We have stayed here a few times now.

We have stayed here a few times now. While it is not the hampton it is really ok for the price! We enjoy the breakfast buffet during the week. Not the same on weekend. Will stay again when in dallas. Lots of space and right for the money we just...
When we first pulled in, there were people climbing in and out of windows. It did not feel safe at ALL! The rooms were old and dirty, my family and I were scared to sleep on the beds. The bathrooms were old and dirty also. There were people...
