001- Personal negative experience
002- Parking is frustrating
003- The parts i enjoyed.
001:
I was staying at this hotel for a wedding, normally i would've commuted, but it was important to the bride for people to stay here.
the decor is nice enough, however they have HUGE room inequality for the Queen rooms. Having the advantage of being able to see other peoples rooms in the wedding party, i realized that i had the smallest room in our group, had to listen to the garbage being brought out to the dumpster from the hotel restaurant several times the first night ( windows closed) and and was paying within $30 as much as people with 2x the space PLUS a balcony.
The hotel was not full and i asked to be upgraded to a better room since this was unacceptable. The 3-11pm manager was not interested in making me a satisfied customer and put forth the effort to show me an upgrade, then charge me extra for it. He claimed to not know how to upgrade someone without charging them, but in my opinion an empty room can be occupied safely at 10pm without worrying that it will be double booked, especially when there is ONE person managing the computer.
at any rate, the woman at the desk the next morning had great customer service and i feel that had she been on the night shift, i would not be writing this negative review. Unfortunately thats not the case.

I would expect valet parking if the parking is not located with the building. the parking is in a municipal lot where you compete with everybody going downtown, you get a tag to allow you overnight parking however there is no designated area for the hotel and you can easily be stuck waiting for a space to open.

Hotel decor is modern, elegant.
Beds are very comfortable
Breakfast pastries are tasty (coffee was so-so)
Patio with fountain was great for sitting with a morning coffee and danish.
If you are interested in staying here the difference in price from the worst room in the house to the best room in the house is less than double the cost of the crap room, so if you're comfortable laying out this much money for a room go the extra and get a king. otherwise stay at a hojo/best western/wherever.
(My room was 209, the upgrade option was 308. the queen with 2x the space and a balcony was 202)
